This schedule is dynamic and will depend on the activity opportunities offered and of course the rate of participation of members. We try to harmonize the dates of our activities with the other naturist organizations ONNO of Ottawa/Gatineau and GNQ of Quebec.
Membership applications
Please note that the NCGM will process your membership applications starting December 27th. Please note that we are an inclusive family club and insist on maintaining a maximum ratio of 1.8 men/women. The only constraint is for people in the “individual man” category who sometimes have to wait a few months before having the opportunity to complete their membership with the NCGM.
Bowling/Games/Dinner Laval:
We started this activity last fall and it was a great success. We had 26 participants including 11 men, 6 couples and a family.
You can come and have dinner au naturel starting at 6pm, bowling between 7:30pm and 9:45pm au naturel. You can also bring board games to end your evening if you don’t want to bowl during the entire period. Starting at 9:45pm, nudity is no longer allowed and the regular customers of the bowling alley can join us but only from 10pm until midnight. The restaurant and the fully licensed bar remain open throughout the evening.
This activity requires a large reservation that must be completed at least 2 months in advance. We no longer want to cancel reservations with our suppliers to avoid damaging our reputation with them. The January 11th activity is confirmed and will take place. We would like to have at least 40 participants. The next date is March 15th.
Here is the link to this original activity for more details:
Spa Laurentians
Our last Spa Laurentides activity on November 16, 2023 was a success despite the renovations in progress. Our service provider had a problem with a humid sauna, he did not hesitate to call their maintenance service at the end of the evening to carry out the necessary repairs. For our next activities, the renovations will be completed.
The impeccable quality place can easily accommodate 100 people. There are still many opportunities to increase the number of participants.
A spa activity is a less steep step to try naturism for the very first time!
We have scheduled two dates for this winter and one date for the spring. Our next activity will take place on January 25. Please note that prices have increased slightly.
Gymasium/Pool Laval
This activity began in the fall of 2023 and was offered in the afternoon. Then, we were unable to have new rentals in the afternoon. Last spring, this same activity was offered in the evening. We had received about twenty participants at the gym and the pool. It was a real success and we repeated these activities twice this fall. We had planned three activities but during the activity on December 7, the pool component was cancelled due to a lack of staff.
Practicing natural sports activities in a gym is very pleasant. Many people are now discovering its benefits. It is not only a swimsuit during a swimming activity that is superfluous, but a sweaty gym suit is rather useless and even disdainful. Many experienced naturists are discovering our gym activities.
The swimming activity that follows the gymasium activity is very enjoyable. A real net is set up to play volleyball with a small beach ball. It is possible to take a shower directly in the pool thanks to two open showers located near the pool. The water temperature in the pool is comfortable. You can dive, swim laps, do aqua fitness or simply socialize. It should not be forgotten to mention that the locker rooms include a magnificent wooden sauna and are exemplary cleanliness.
We have decided to schedule a Gymasium activity and three Gymasium/Pool activities in Laval for this winter. This activity remains our main sporting activity and it is our first regular activity that occurs monthly.
Pool Repentigny
This activity is the easiest to organize for our Club. The pool is small but particularly warm (32C) and comfortable. There is a limit of 40 participants but do not worry because we always have plenty of places available. Last fall, we welcomed about twenty people on three occasions.
The Repentigny pool is easily accessible from Highway 40 via Brien Boulevard. Before the activity, there is always a dinner offered at a local restaurant.
During the activity, he always sets up a volleyball net but this time we use one or more small beach balls. A water exercise session offered by Imad usually takes place around 8:15 p.m. The evening ends with subdued lighting during the last half hour. A lap line can be set up if needed. This activity is completely family-friendly.
Pool Montérégie
Last fall, we hosted about thirty people twice. This activity is now mature. The pool is very large with its 6 lanes. The water temperature is 29C. It can accommodate nearly a hundred people. It is located at the intersection of highways 20 and 30 and has a large parking lot. Before the activity, there is always a dinner offered at a local restaurant. Since this year, this activity is sometimes offered on Sundays and this does not seem to affect the popularity of the event.
An aqua fitness session offered by Mariane takes place at the beginning during the first half hour. You can do lap swimming from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in one or two lanes installed according to demand. You can also play volleyball with the two large delinquent balls “Grosse Balloune” and “Foot Balloune” from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Throughout the activity, you can socialize in the shallow and deep areas with or without floats with the risk of receiving a delinquent ball on your head…
This activity is purely family-friendly. There are participants of all ages from young children to seniors. It is possible to borrow a variety of aquatic accessories including small slides, balls, fins, floats, etc.
Before the activity, there is always a dinner offered at a local restaurant.
We have decided to schedule two Piscine Montérégie (Sainte-Julie) activities for this winter. The February 9 activity will take place on a Sunday and the March 22 activity will take place on a Saturday at the same time 6:30 p.m. We could have added more dates but we first need to increase the attendance for the next two activities. This activity remains our main swimming activity.
Summary of the 2024 Annual General Meeting
On Sunday, December 15, 2024, our 2024 Annual General Meeting (2024 AGM) was held. Ten members attended. Three positions on the Board of Directors were open for new candidates out of a total of 5 2-year positions authorized by the Club’s bylaws. The terms of Jean Morency and Stéphane V. Lemieux will end at the 2025 AGM while François Lévesque’s term expired at the 2024 AGM. Finally, François Lévesque was elected by acclamation because no one had presented their candidacy.
The financial report for the year 2023-2024 (as of 2024-08-31) shows revenues of $22,750 with expenses of $21,760. This is the first year that the NCGM has made a financial gain with a surplus of $990. The club’s assets and liabilities were $1,690 and $3,780 respectively. The net worth was negative $2,090.
As of August 31, 2024, we had 260 registered members (166 men and 94 women). Among the registered members, we had 178 members in good standing (115 men and 63 women). A registered member is a member accepted into the NCGM (form and interview completed). A member in good standing is a registered member who has paid their dues.
We noted that the number of participants doubled at our last AGM compared to the previous year. Several volunteers have joined our team to support our activities but are not necessarily interested in making decisions for the Club.
The minutes of this Annual General Meeting will follow shortly. Very promising signs for the Club are the increase in memberships, the increasingly active participation of our members in activities and profitability. This bodes well for the year 2025.
Carpooling
For each activity, the NCGM offers a carpooling service for members who want it. We will continue to tirelessly promote this service. This choice is directly offered when you register for each of our activities. We coordinate transportation from your addresses to maximize the efficiency of the service. Do not hesitate to use this service.
To conclude
The NCGM needs your support. Join and register for the activities offered!
