First successful event!

The CNGM carried out its very first “Spa naturiste Laurentides” activity which took place on March 25, 2022 in Morin Heights. There was the presence of 10 couples and 7 single people for a total of 27 participants. It was a flawless success for a first CNGM event. It is also a first naturist event for this health spa center which can accommodate up to 80 people. Another activity is planned for the end of May or the beginning of June.

Two other new activities are now on the schedule. There is a new sugar shack that will accept naturists in the Lanaudière region on Saturday April 23, 2022. The first swimming activity will take place on Saturday evening May 14 in a magnificent swimming pool in Montérégie including a diving board, water slide, water, saunas, etc.

For each activity, the CNGM offers a carpooling service for members who want it. This service is desirable given the considerable distances involved, environmental considerations and the high cost of gasoline.

To make itself known, the CNGM received help from various social media (La Pommerie, Oasis and ONNO). We should also mention the Facebook group Le naturisme au Québec (LNAQ). The Federation of Canadian Naturists (FCN) publishes our Club information in their Going Natural / Au Naturel magazine and on their website.

Here are the latest CNGM developments:

• The Club now has 38 members in good standing. The payment of the dues is mainly done online by Interac.
• In the coming weeks, new participants will be able to start practicing naturism for the first time using our sponsorship service.
• The Club is a member of the Regroupement Loisirs et Sports du Québec (RLSQ), which is the main organization serving sports and leisure clubs and associations in Quebec.

As we are at the end of the year, the annual membership for the following year is now available. It covers the period from April 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023:

• Annual membership for FQN/FCN member: $15/single, $20/couple
• Annual membership for non-FQN/FCN members: $20/single, $30/couple

First NCGM activities

The NCGM now has activities announced on its calendar. The major problem now is to find means of communication to join the naturist community. If you are an experienced naturist, we encourage you to contact your friends to encourage them to join our new club.

The speed of starting our club will be dictated by the following factors:

• Number of eligible members: We need a reasonable number of members.
• Membership Male to Female Ratio: Several single male memberships are currently on a waiting list. Couples must now join the NCGM otherwise the club will delay its start. We know from experience that naturist activities with a bad male/female ratio are not popular and are not profitable in the long term.
• Performance of our promotional media: We now have agreements with several naturist social media to allow us to publish our activities.

Here are the latest NCGM developments:

• Full memberships with payment by Interac have started successfully. The operation is very simple.
• The Club now has its Facebook page in addition to its Facebook group. We encourage you to make them known to your naturist friends.
• Our first two activities are announced: Spa in the Laurentians and Pool in Montérégie. Now is the time to register in advance so that we can confirm the dates with our service providers.

We remind you that since we are already halfway through the year, the required contribution is the one taking effect after January 31, which covers the period between February 1 and August 31:

• Mid-year membership for FQN/FCN member (proof required): $8/single, $10/couple
• Mid-year membership for non-FQN/FCN members: $10/single, $15/couple

Beginning of NCGM memberships

We wish you a Happy New Year 2022, health and happiness, hoping to end the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to our latest news published on October 30, 2021, we announced a first activity to take place in December 2021 as well as a general assembly of the first members of the CNGM. These events did not take place for the following reasons: delay in the administrative procedures for starting the Club, lack of means of promotional communication to announce the creation of the new club and finally the restrictive health conditions required to fight against the pandemic of COVID-19. Finally, we will hold an annual general meeting after a full year of the new club’s existence.

Here are the latest developments of the NCGM:

• The Club became affiliated with the Canadian Federation of Naturism (FCN) on October 2, 2021 as a non-landed naturist club.
• It was legally registered on November 15, 2021 under the name of “Club naturiste du Grand Montréal / Naturist Club of Greater Montréal”.
• The first meeting of the Board of Directors took place on December 26, 2021. The first official documents have been adopted (General Regulations, Privacy Policy and Membership Fees).
• The NCGM bank account was activated on January 7, 2022. New members can finally pay their membership fees.

We are able to accept official memberships with payment by Interac e-Transfers or in cash from January 7, 2022. Since we are already in mid-year, the required contribution will be the one taking effect after January 31 which covers the period between February 1 and August 31:

The next activities will be officially planned when we have enough registered members who have paid their membership fees and when the sanitary conditions are more favorable. All activities displayed on the calendar are provisional and constitute surveys. The NCGM is in contact with all service providers and will begin operations at the appropriate time.

It is now up to the naturist community of the greater Montreal area to do their part by joining the NCGM and starting to register for the next activities that will be offered in the coming weeks.

Creation of the NCGM

We are pleased to announce the official creation of the Naturist Club of Greater Montreal (NCGM). This club brings together experienced volunteers who recently organized most of the naturist activities offered in the greater Montreal area. Several other activities can be organized in the coming months (yoga, outdoor outings, etc.).

This club has the following characteristics :

• Constitution according to the third part of the Quebec Companies Act concerning non-profit organizations.
• Board of five members elected for 2 years with annual alternation (2 or 3 candidates) including a president, a vice-president, a secretary and a treasurer.
• Ethics Committee made up of 3 people appointed by the board of directors
• Official Rules
• Code of conduct
• Privacy policy adapted for the naturist context
• Naturist activities organized in the following regions: Montreal, Montérégie, Laval, Lanaudière and Laurentides.
• Participation exclusively reserved for NCGM members
• Membership rate: for FQN / FCN member (proof required) $ 15 / single, $ 20 / couple and for non-member FQN / FCN $ 20 / single, $ 30 / couple
• Membership covers the fixed period between September 1 and August 31 of the following year
• Bilingual official website
• Bilingual newsletter
• FCN affiliation

Naturists with recognized naturist experience will be able to join this club (naturists who have already participated in the activities of the FQN, members or visitors of naturist centers). For new participants, a sponsorship procedure will be established.
